Apron Skirts!

Happy Thursday night everyone. I'm usually salsa dancing on Thursdays but I'm feeling a bit under the weather so i decided to share my apron skirts with you.

I think apron skirts are just the best thing since sliced bread!! They are defiantly the cutest. I can't get enough of them, they are the perfect balance of urban chic and vintage elegance.

Here's my polka-dot one.

This one is a little bit country!

Now I'm off to my studio!!!

Tag I'm it!

Each blogger has to reveal 7 random facts about his or herself.
People who are tagged have to post the rules.
At the end, I have to choose 7 people to tag.
I then need to leave a comment for each person who has been tagged, telling them that they are "it".
The "taggee" needs to then leave a comment for the person who tagged them to read your list.

1. I'm a salsa dancer and have been dancing for about 5 years now. It's addictive and I love it!! Everybody should try it at least once! But it'll be hard to stop after just once :)

2. I'm an only child. No brothers of sisters here, just me :)

3. I got engaged on New Years eve in a snow storm.

4. I'm the costume supervisor for Tom Sellecks "Stone Cold" series on CBS.

5. I have 2 dogs Jenny: a 2 year old black lab. Puppy: a 17 year old corgi that I've had since i was 13 years old.

6. I love to garden. Last year I planted over 200 tulips in my garden.

7. I collect stamps :)

Here are my 7 others to tag:

Branching Out

With my newest addition to my etsy shop I've decide to branch out a bit from children's items and see what I can come up with.
I've been itching to make some house wares from this red and white polka dot fabric. I love polka dots in the house, and well everywhere ;)
These coaster are quilted with absorbent batting in the middle and accented with a heart ribbon.

So I decided to try out Artfire. It's a new and upcoming venue for buyers and sellers of handmade. It's still in it's beta stage but I'm hopefull that it will become another great venue for artists. My shop can be found here.

Hearts, Hearts, and More Hearts!!

I'm surrounded by hearts lately! Not that that's a bad thing ;) I created these heart ponytail holders for my nieces and thought I'd share them with you as well. They can be found in my shop.

There are some made with felt and some made with fabric. I especially like the one's on the Happy Valentine's Day cards, what a nice little treat for a little girl to wake up to.

Enjoy!

A Box of Old Patterns

Here's this year's Valentine's Dress avaliable in my shop. I'm really please with how it turned out. I especially like the collar.

The vintage green button in the center came from a box of buttons my grandmother gave my mother. I can remember her using them on my clothing when I was little.

Recently I came across a box of vintage patterns and instantly the wheels in my head started turning. I couldn't wait to get started. I've had this heart fabric for a few years now I have the perfect thing to use it for. I hope you like it.

I'll be back very soon with a new update. See ya then!
