I never knew making marshmallows could be so easy.

I'm in need of a new pin cushion. This one from Heather Bailey caught my eye a little while ago. I think it's time to treat myself and do a little sewing for me.

Ferry Staverman

These alluring paper sculptures are from Dutch artist Ferry Staverman. I've seen them making their rounds in the Internet and I thought I'd share them with you.

If you're lucky to live near New York, her work is currently on exhibit in Slash: paper Under the Knife at the Museum of Art and Design through April 4th 2010.

I love the beautiful palettes, modern yet classic. Well I'm off to finish painting my kitchen, I love starting the morning with some color inspiration.

Tea For You and Me

I just had to show you these tea cups from Wedding Things! Aren't they adorable in the shape of hearts and I just love the pink and gold together.

Notice the old-fashion rock candy swizzle sticks posing as stir sticks. Little details like are simple but so elegant.

Painting and Crafting

I'm painting the kitchen/dining room today, I'm so excited! The color is called fusilli, it's like a yellowy, orange, cream color. That's the best I can describe it?! I've also took apart the ugly 60's chairs to paint and recover in a nice blue and brown shantung fabric. They are going to look fantastic when it's all done!

So while I'm waiting for coats of paint to dry I'd thought I'd tell you about these new tags I listed. Each one is hand punched, painted, and assembled by moi and finished off with some organic chenille.


And these little flower embellishments look good enough to eat.
I hand painted each one, then added a little glitter for some extra magic!

Snow Storm

It's time to light the fire and make some hot chocolate.

There's a snow storm outside and I don't have to work tomorrow :)

New for the Holidays

Good Things Happen in 3's on Etsy

Good thing #1: I woke up the other morning to find out that my Girls Christmas Tree shirt had made it to the front page. Yippe!!!!!!!!

Good thing #2: Later that day I find out my OOAK blue and green embroidered pinafore had made it to the gift guide. Wooo hooo!!!!!!!!

It's good to feel that all the hard work has payed off. I've been working so hard to create new products, get my pictures up to par, and get my products out there. Needless to say I'm pleased as punch!

It's time to start thinking about the Holidays.

Since I woke up this morning to snow, it's time I start talking about my holiday clothes. I add this classic little shirt to my etsy shop this morning. What do you think? Should i make a matching skirt to go with? Let me know what you think.

Perfect Day for a picnic!

What a beautiful day it is here. The sun is shining and there is a little breeze just enough to keep things a little cool!

We're off for a little picnic, I've packed some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches along with some cherries.

Who's Claire Coles

For the last little while I've been hearing about people talk about Claire Cole and her wallpaper designs. I kept meaning to look her up, but for what ever reason I didn't. Boy am I ever happy I did! Her stitched wallpaper designs are fantastic and then there's her stitched ceramics, prints, brooches and more.

Her work is just beautiful!

Working Away

It's always hard when you have to go away to work, but when you in a place like this it makes it a bit easier. The Prescot Museum and Garden is located in Wolfville NS. We were so lucky the weather was beautiful for the whole two weeks we were there and the staff were so nice to us! Here are some pictures I took, I hope you enjoy!

Some chicks and hens. I really love these, they grow really close to the ground. There must of been hundreds of them.

We were just in time for the apple blossom festival. There were apple blossoms everywhere, it was so pretty.

This field of irises bloomed while we were there as well.
